Tata Tiago is currently the cheapest electric car
Currently, electric vehicles are in great demand in India but due to their high price, some people are unable to take them. This is especially true for the category of four-wheelers. With a price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Tiago EV is the cheapest electric car in India. Despite being under 10 lakhs, it is still too expensive for many automobile buyers, especially those with a limited budget.
Preparing to bring electric buses
The registration for electric vehicles in India was over 17 lakh in 2018. Gadkari also emphasized that the government aims to convert all 1.5 lakh state transport buses in the country to electric buses. Presently, 93% of the buses run on diesel and many of them are old and unsuitable.
Want to increase double-decker bus
Nitin Gadkari while speaking at a program of a private channel said, “The government wants to increase the number of double-decker buses to attract more tourists to India. The minister said that the government intends to reduce the cost of air-conditioned double-decker bus tickets to make them more accessible to the general public.
